StitchVid Privacy Policy

What we collect

  • Account data such as your email address, authentication provider, and user identifier when you sign in.
  • Watch sessions, episode lists, source URLs you add, progress, playback settings, skip timings, and title analytics.
  • Basic technical data handled by our hosting and authentication providers, such as request logs, device/browser metadata, and security events.
  • Local browser data stored through localStorage so the app can keep sessions, language preference, and playback state on your device.

How we use data

  • To create and restore your watch sessions.
  • To sync sessions and analytics across devices when you are signed in.
  • To provide authentication, account access, and security.
  • To improve product reliability and understand which supported flows need work.

What we do not store

  • StitchVid does not host, upload, or store video files.
  • StitchVid does not store your password. Authentication is handled by the configured auth provider.
  • StitchVid does not sell your personal data.
  • StitchVid does not intentionally collect sensitive personal data or data from children.

Service providers

  • Vercel is used for hosting, serverless functions, and deployment infrastructure.
  • A database and authentication service are used for account access and cloud sync.
  • Google OAuth may be used when you choose to sign in with Google.
  • Buy Me a Coffee is linked for donations and is governed by its own policies when you visit it.
  • External media/news sources may receive requests when you open their original links or when the app resolves supported sources.

Retention and deletion

  • Local data remains in your browser until you clear it or delete sessions in the app.
  • Cloud data remains until you delete it, request deletion, or the service is discontinued.
  • You can request account and cloud data deletion by contacting us at the email listed below.

Your choices

  • You can use local sessions without signing in, but cloud sync requires an account.
  • You can export and delete sessions from the sessions page.
  • You can revoke Google access in your Google Account settings.
  • You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of account data by contacting us.
